Logroño Spain

Logroño is a city on the Ebro River. It is the capital of the autonomous community and province of La Rioja. Logroño is a city rich in history and traditions which have been preserved since the Middle Ages. The Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela made this one of the most important towns on the route, leaving an interesting monumental legacy closely linked to the traditional passing of the pilgrims. Logroño, and La Rioja, are famous due to its good wine. The Museum of the Culture of Wine is a nice option to visit if you go to Logroño. Logroño has two important festivals: the festival of San Bernabé (the patron saint of the city) and especially the festival of San Mateo (the grape harvest festival).
