Information about the area

Serengeti (Tanzania), Tanzania
Cheetahs, leopards, hippos, giraffes, and African elephants … are some few of the thousand species of animals that you will find in more of the thirteen thousand square kilometers of the Nature reserve of the Serengueti in Tanzania. This name is the one that the masai used to use to name this place, the Serengeti, which also plain means “land without and ending". This great plain is replete for kilometers of sheet and opened forest. Something very symbolic in this natural reserve, are the migrations of gnus, gazelles and zebras which is one of the most impressive spectacles of the nature that you can see nowadays and for what many tourist come to visit. The National Park of the Serengeti was declared Heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO in 1981. There are a lot of interesting places to visit such as Seronera (the central zone), which is a small plce that concentrates a great variety of animal species. Besides everything there are also a great variety of activities to do such as: Balloon safari around the natural reserve, visiting a hippo pond, climbing the "hill naabil" and enjoying the views. In general it is the ideal place to connect with nature.
