Trekking on Kilimanjaro and Safari in Tanzania

Airport pickup from Kilimanjaro (JRO) and private car transfer to Moshi. Accommodation at CHANYA LODGE or similar (bed and breakfast).

After breakfast, the guide will drive us to the entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park at Machame Gate. Along the way, we will enjoy stunning views of Machame village and the surrounding landscape. We will begin the trek through dense rainforest towards the camp, covering approximately 10 km in about 3 to 4 hours. Accommodation in fully serviced tents.

 We will ascend leaving behind the vegetation, crossing the rocky valley. We will see the western gap of Kibo and the plateau of Shira. We will walk for 3 - 4 hours and, if you wish, you can make an acclimatization tour towards the base of Shira. Camping accommodation with full board.

We will ascend through a dry and rocky alpine desert landscape. We will see the lava tower "the tooth of the shark" and we will reach the 4,876 meters of altitude in "the Glacier". We will go down a beautiful path to the camp.

We leave the valley Barranco and cross the valley Karanga. At Karanga camp, we will pause before continuing to Barafu Camp. The trek will take about 6 - 7 hours.

Our guide will wake us up around midnight to start the challenge towards the summit, we will have a hard night climb of about 6 hours.  We will reach the edge of the Crater at Stella Point (5.685 mt), from where we can enjoy the sunrise. Perfect time to make unforgettable photos and allow us a little rest, to recover energy and continue until reaching the summit, the peak of Uhuru, the roof of the African continent at 5,895 m altitude. After admiring the spectacular view, we will begin the descent to Barafu camp, then continue to Mweka camp.

After breakfast, we will be picked up from your hotel in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. We will set off towards Tarangire National Park, known for its spectacular wildlife and unique landscapes.

We will stay at the Karatu Tented Lodge or a similar establishment, where we will enjoy a luxurious all-inclusive experience, guaranteeing comfort and total immersion in nature.

After breakfast, we will depart early in the morning for Serengeti National Park, famous for The Great Migration and for being one of the places with the highest concentration of predators on the planet. During the journey, we will cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying spectacular landscapes and wildlife sightings. We will arrive at Seronera and finally Ikoma, where we will spend the night.

We will stay at the Kuoom Serengeti Hotel, on a full-board basis, which will allow us to enjoy a comfortable stay and all meals while we are immersed in the stunning beauty of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day safari in the Serengeti, exploring one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the planet. In the afternoon, we will visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life, customs and homes. We will have the opportunity to participate in various activities with them, enriching our cultural experience.

We will return to the Kuoom Serengeti Hotel, where we will stay on a full-board basis, ensuring that we enjoy all meals and maximum comfort during our stay.

After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, we head towards the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site that offers one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet. Formed by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago, this crater is home to a rich wildlife in a stunning landscape, where it is possible to spot a wide variety of animals in a spectacularly preserved environment.

We will stay at the Karatu Tented Lodge or a similar establishment, on a full-board basis. This accommodation offers an immersive experience in nature, combining comfort and luxury with the splendor of the natural environment. We will enjoy all meals while we relax and prepare to explore one of Tanzania's most iconic destinations.

We will spend the day exploring the fascinating tribes in the Lake Eyasi area. First, we will visit the Hadzabe tribe, known as the last Bushmen of Tanzania. We will have the opportunity to learn about their ancient way of life, their hunting and gathering techniques, and their deep connection to the natural environment. Next, we will visit a village of the Datoga tribe, who are dedicated to herding. We will learn about their traditions, their skill in tool making, and their daily practices in raising livestock.

We will stay at the Africa Safari Arusha Hotel or a similar establishment, offering a comfortable stay while we reflect on our cultural experiences and prepare for the next stage of our adventure.

We will spend the day exploring the stunning Materuni Waterfalls. We will hike for approximately one hour through lush mountain scenery until we reach the majestic waterfalls. Weather permitting, we will have time to relax and enjoy a refreshing swim under the waterfall, immersing ourselves in a spectacular natural environment. Afterwards, we will return to the village of Materuni Village, where we will delight in a magnificent local lunch, tasting the authentic cuisine of the region. In addition, we will participate in an interactive workshop on coffee making, learning about the process from harvest to cup.

Finally, we will transfer to the Africa Safari Arusha Hotel to rest and prepare for the next adventures.

We will be picked up by a private car for transfer to Arusha where we will visit the vibrant Maasai Market, known for its colorful assortment of handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs. We will have time to explore and do some unique shopping.

We will enjoy a meal in Arusha (not included) before continuing our journey. Afterwards, we will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for our return flight or to continue on to our next destination.
