Early morning, after breakfast, transfer with English-speaking driver to Cape Town International Airport.

Upon arrival at Hoedspruit airport, meet with English-speaking driver for land transfer to Kaia Tani Guest House (about 95 km).

You will be welcomed by the Italian couple Barbara and Paolo, owners of Kaia Tani guest lodge, who moved to South Africa 6 years ago.

Kaia Tani is a small guest house with only 7 rooms, located in the residential area of Phalaborwa. Surrounded by a lush garden and just 2 minutes from the town center, it is the ideal compromise for everyone: nature lovers, without having to give up the comforts we are used to.

The Kruger National Park is just 2 minutes' drive from the guest house. With an area of about 20,000 km2, it is one of the largest African parks. It is renowned for its flora (mountains, bush and tropical plants are part of the landscape) and for its fauna, with a high density of wildlife, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino), as well as hundreds of other mammal species and about nine hundred bird species.

Why Kaia Tani:

  • The hosts are native Italian speakers, so even for those not familiar with English there are no communication problems.
  • Close to Kruger National Park.
  • They are certified guides for Kruger National Park and the Limpopo and Mpumalanga regions (Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon).
  • They offer various excursions to meet most guests' requests. Some tours, such as the Township Tour, were designed and planned directly by them, outside the classic tourist routes.

Dinner, overnight and breakfast at Kaia Tani guest house in a standard room – drinks excluded.

If you've ever wanted to spot a leopard in its natural habitat, come across a pride of lions resting under an ancient termite mound or come face to face with gentle giants (elephants), this day in the park, with a bit of luck, may offer you all these experiences.

This jewel in the natural treasure trove of the African continent is located in the most accessible and pristine wilderness on the continent, stretching over 6 million acres in the far northeast of South Africa. Here, the Big Five spotting territory is flanked by grand landscapes overflowing with stories as ancient as the mountains.
