Arrival at Ljubljana airport and transfer to the hotel for your first night.

Discover the friendly capital of Slovenia, the city of Ljubljana. The city has traditionally been very social and environmentally conscious, which you will feel with every step. In the morning, guided tour of the historic center, during which we will visit the old town, the Town Hall, the Robba Fountain, the Three Bridges, the University, and the Cultural Center. At the end of the visit, departure by funicular to the castle to get the best views of the city. Free afternoon to enjoy the city.

DAY 3: MARIBOR AND PTUJ

Breakfast and departure to Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia, known as the city with the oldest vineyard in the world, which is more than 400 years old. The city was chosen as the European Cultural Capital in 2012. Guided tour of the historic center next to the Drava River will show the best corners of the city and wine tasting will leave an unforgettable impression. In the afternoon visit Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia that already existed in Roman times. After the visit, free time and return to Ljubljana.

 


DAY 4: PREDJAMA CASTLE – POSTOJNA CAVE – SLOVENIAN COAST

We say goodbye to Ljubljana and head out to the Carso area where two magical gems await us. First will be Predjama Castle, which is the only castle in the world built inside the mouth of a cave and offers a wonderful medieval image. Lunch in a restaurant. Then we will enter the Queen of all caves – Postojna Cave, the only cave in the world that has an electric train. In the afternoon, transfer to the Slovenian coast.


DAY 5: PIRAN AND KOPER

In the morning guided tour of the small boutique village of Piran. This city used to be part of the Venetian Republic, so its architecture is very reminiscent of the famous Venice and is considered one of the most adorable cities in the world. Lunch in a restaurant and guided tour of Koper, perhaps the city with the most personality on the Slovenian coast. A settlement dating back to the 1500s b.c. with Roman essence, but with traces of each one of the cultures that set foot on its soil. The urban structure has undergone numerous changes and offers a varied history and very interesting visit.


DAY 6: LIPICA – SOCA VALLEY – KOBARID – JULIAN ALPS

We return to the Carso area to visit the famous Lipica - stable with more than 400 years of history, known for the noble white Lipizzaner horses. The oldest stable in Europe has been breeding the same breed of horse for centuries and is a historical-cultural monument that fascinates visitors both for the horses and for its surprising landscapes. Continuation towards the green Soca River valley. The area offers wonderful nature and history. Stop for lunch at a restaurant. Then we continue to the World War I museum in Kobarid, which shows us the area at the time of the Isonzo front that had great strategic importance in the war. Accommodation in the Julian Alps area to enjoy the last days in nature.

DAY 7: BOHINJ & BLED

Time for the alpine fairy tale! First, we will visit Lake Bohinj, the deepest lake in Slovenia. Bohinj is a paradisiacal valley embraced by the Julian Alps. Lake Bohinj, in the heart of Triglav National Park, one of the oldest national parks in Europe, is the largest natural lake in Slovenia, above which rise intact alpine pastures and mountain peaks. We will visit the cheese museum and then return to Bled. Which tourists discovered in the middle of the 19th century, after the Swiss doctor Arnold Rikli had built his famous spa. Lunch in a restaurant and visit of Bled Castle, built on the top of the 130-meter-high cliff, dominating the view of the lake. After the walk and visit, free time to enjoy nature and wonderful views.

Free time until departure to the airport and flight home.
